The tax calculator is an online tool that helps people plan their move by comparing the tax burden in two freely selectable municipalities. Users enter their income, assets and family situation, from which the annual tax burden is calculated on the basis of official tax data and visualized in an easy-to-understand way.
An extended version is the iLocatorwhich we operate for homegate. In addition to the tax burden, it also takes into account other fixed costs such as rents, real estate prices and health insurance premiums. The results are clearly presented according to cost categories. With the “iLocator’s Choice” the cheaper municipality is automatically suggested.
Cantonal and communal statistics offices and the Federal Statistical Office publish numerous market data on municipalities, such as vacancy rates, income, employment and population trends.
